i had a massive 'i-miss-brisbane' attack just now and just couldn't do anything else but wished and i was there. i donnow what triggered the attack, but it must have been strong cos it hit me right smack in the face. Again, i imagined myself walking along the river from toowong to the city. i even imagined it was already dark, cos it's 8 plus in the evening there now.
then i went online and scrambled to find photos or webcam feeds of brisbane just to feed my reverse homesickness.
what the hell is wrong with me?
how can a place leave such an strong emotional impact on me?
i mean i've been to so many places but why brisbane?
why not west sussex (spent quite a while there when i was a kid)? or kl? or singapore when i was in brisbane?
anyway, i found a brisbane blog by Courier-Mail (queensland's very own!). It's only got three posts so far, but do read the comments left by people and you'll start to understand why so many are hit by the brissy bug. heck you'll probably feel like crying (like i did).
at least i'm not the only crazy one after all.
heh.
and no, i'm not gonna start on what i miss about brisbane, cos it's a super long list and it'll just make me cry.

analyze this
F I N A L L Y.
I've finally finished analysing 8 pieces.
I wish I can say I'm never gonna see a musical note again, but I can't.
I've yet to practice for my recital exam.
:o(
My mind's a mess and I can't even focus my eyes onto anything now. I hope sleep helps.
Am kinda pissed with myself at the moment cos I snapped at my mom when she needed help with her statistics assignments just now. I hastely said 'I don't know lah Ma!' even before looking at the question. After looking at it, I realised it's an easy question on null hypothesis but it took me quite awhile to answer it. This, coming from someone who scored a perfect score for her 1st year statistics in uni!
Yah lah 'twas me.
I was so good (but I wasn't the only one with perfect score), they offered me a position as a statistics tutor can.
But I screwed up the interview.
heh.
Okay enough showing off, cos i've got no proof that I aced my stats exam.
So I'm gonna finish helping my mom with her stats stuff and then hibernate.

jog route
this post is to dispel beliefs that i don't exercise - at all.
well, erm okay. actually my mom tricked me into going jogging cos she told me there'll be an island (surrounded with a moat) of rabbits waiting for me at the end of the route.
okay, so i either kena tipu or it was too dark for the rabbits to be running around still and have gone to sleep by the time i finish the whole route.
i'd like to believe the latter.
and so the route starts by going up this bridge.
and down.
view on the left of the bridge.
icky view on the right.
my mom who looks like she's running a marathon. now, it looked like i've ran faster than her and took a shot of her. actually, this was like her 3rd run up the bridge, while i was busy searching for a glimpse of any rabbit.
then it started to get dark.
on to another bridge.
afterwalkingjogging for quite a bit on gravel,
we reached the golf course. yah, night where i was, day just across.
i'm adamant on seeing at least one rabbit, so i will go jog again.
maybe tomorrow morning?
steady lah!

all about me(me)
i wasboredtaking a break from my report (i was coming up with words at a rate of one a minute. bah!).went to wikipedia and searched for events that happened on my birthdate (just the day, not the year) and these were what i found out (i'm just gonna highlight important ones cos there were so many events!):

holy trinity
met a guy named trinity today.
and i was like whoa.
i've never met someone with that kinda name before.
the only thing that came to mind was 'matrix'.
i mean i've met a dog named neo before, but not someone named trinity.
it's funny.
it's only after a couple of seconds of hearing him speak did i realise how much i miss the aussie accent and friendliness so so much.
and he ate so much!
i mean he ate char kuey teow as a lauk ok. he ate it with rice!
sure, he had other lauks like sambal kangkong and hotplate tofu but, he ate char kuey teow like some kinda lauk.
ate all the spicy stuff like a pro too. haha.
it's just too bad he's gotta leave tomorrow. boohoo.
anyway, thanks for the accent and memories, trin!
heheh

sale!
i've got a couple of stuff up for sale.
my cousin got me some mooks tops from the uk and there was this particular top that's really nice, if only it wasn't bare-backed!
it's a really sexy top, but kinda weird cos it's long-sleeved, but bare-backed. kinda defeats whatever purpose it's supposed to serve.
i'd keep it if it weren't bare-backed or if i had a really nice, clean and toned back and shoulders haha.
another one up for sale is a pair of a birkenstock (papillio) sandals. someone got me the wrong size, well actually it's my fault lah. cos the birks i have for years are a size 38 and it fits fine. then i told a friend to get one in size 37. and it's huge! that's so weird. either my pink birks have shrunk cos it's weathered lotsa things or my feet have shrunk. nevertheless, i can't keep the new ones cos i'm not gonna wear it.

one for the weekend
*takes deep breath*
thousand apologies to naz and yus for spoiling saturday night.
in one word, bacin!
heh
how about the upcoming weekend?
oh wait, before i send out the wrong signals, i am not done with assignments and exams.
i'm still swamped.
it's like quicksand - the more i struggle, the deeper i sink, and start to suffocate.
i'm so stressed that i'm not doing anything. i've decided to let er, nature (?) takes its course.
i swear doing a science degree is a breeze compared to doing a music diploma.
think i've said that like a million times, but it's true.
yes, i was stressed then, but we had time to go to gold coast, go stay at some golf resort up in sunshine coast for the weekend, walk over to milton for coffee, walk to the city (sometimes even to westend) and back, entertain guests holidaying, and the list goes on.
see what i mean.
now, i dont even have time to go jb.
bleargh!
