one-liner

You know the world is going crazy
when the best rapper is a white guy,
the best golfer is a black guy and
the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese.

did it hurt?

when you fell from heaven?
HarHarHarHarHar!
That's like the funniest pick-up line I've heard. Ever.
And I overheard it on Miss Match.
No, she (Kate Fox) didn't fall for it. Of course.
But it got me laughing out really loud.

Anyway, I had a dream and the only thing I remember from it is a man's voice over the PA system informing commuters that the train approaching the platform will end at Ipswich.

Like, how bizarre is that?

I'm trying to recall the rest my dream.
I mean, was I waiting for the train back to Toowong? Indoroopilly?
Which station was I waiting at? Brunswick Street? Central?
Who was I with?
Did it mean anything?
So, so weird.

Also, a Happy Birthday to Miss Nackish!!

craze(d) dinos

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Came home last night to find three packs of these on the dining table. Feeling peckish, I just grabbed one and opened it. I didn't even look at the package to see what it was. I assumed it was a potato cracker snack thingy. I was right, it is a potato cracker snack thingy, but the flavor was all wrong! It's strawberry yoghurt flavor!
YEULCH!
kay, if you look closely, the volcano is spewing strawberry lava. haha!
I lurve fresh strawberries, but I hate strawberry-flavored anything. Cos they don't taste anything close to the real thing. I hate strawberry milk, strawberry wafers, etc. I repeat, I hate strawberry flavored anything. So, as expected, I was pretty grossed out to taste strawberry yoghurt flavored potato snacks.
It's just isn't right.

i'd be a crazed dinosaur too, if i find out i've been sissified.
hmph!

raf-flea-shun for a day

I'd never thought I'd ever say this, but I was a rafflesian for a day. *cringe*
And it wasn't that bad after all. Kinda reminded me of my alma mater's Old vs Present Girls' Games and countless Fun-O-Ramas combined.
I swear I'd melt like the wicked witch of the west once we entered the gates, but wait a minute, I was here once when I was in sec one (and I was conscious) and nothing happened to me. So I relented.
I really can't escape the raf-flea-shun thingy, cos my dad's a rafflesian and we used to accompany him for ORA games when I was really, really young. Now, he's just older and way too unfit. So no more ORA games.
But...the boyfriend is a rafflesian too. So yah, cannot escape.
I swear I meet more of his RI schoolmates than I do my own MG schoolmates (my mom rarely meets up with her MG schoolmates too). Guys really do keep in touch. And they meet up to play sports. Girls meet up to compare notes on one another's success (or lack of it). hmph.
Anyway, here's my saturday - the ORA Walk-a-Jog & Rafflesian Family Day Games/Food and Fun Fair.

me, trying to take a pic of the boy's team (the guys in light orange) behind the protective netting. They were playing 5-a-side soccer.
I am so slenger. I was too lazy to walk to the side and take a pic cos it was way too hot and besides, I was the unofficial locker (for the team haha).
I almost forgot to mention that there were also girls playing 5-a-side soccer. RGS had 2 teams and they played pretty well against the boys and men. Well done, girls!
Anyway, I managed to do abit of shopping (no, getting brownies and cotton candies and bubble teas from the food fair are not considered shopping) and got 2 of these (one for him and one for me lah).

What do you think it'll fetch on ebay 10 years down the road?

the object of much debate

Image hosted by Photobucket.comThis is me, with my bear busuk. That's exactly how I look like when I'm in front of the computer (note: pic taken circa 2003). Ask anyone whose seen me at at my most vulnerable (specs, bear busuk, et al), and they'll agree. BB (short for bear busuk), has been the object of many debates. With my mom, my then housemates and friends who's dropped by.
Here are what they've to say (names spelt backwards to feign anonymity).

alezsuy:
"Q. does that bear have a name? high time it does.
Your bear taknak tukar baju dia ke? pantat dia asik terbobos aje, pakai kan lah baju yang sempurna sikit"

ade:
"suy, out of curiousity....i went to sniff this lil bear when she wasnt looking......bau pengok seeehhh"

Kay, the last comment was really farny, cos I actually caught her doing that and her expression was mastercard-priceless! Kinda serves her right actually. hmph.

I've had this particular bear for quite awhile already (5 years tops). I know it's gross, but it's my security bear.
Without it, I can't sleep (I bring BB everywhere I go. Even on the plane. Erm, except to places I don't need to sleep at), I feel disorientated when in bed, and I'll start looking for it (my sister has an evil habit of hiding it ).
My boyfriend refuses to touch it cos it's full of germs. That's kinda funny, cos I don't fall sick that easily.
I have no recollection whatsoever as to how I came about sniffing bears. And I ONLY sniff teddy bears. Not pillows, not some golliwog doll, not blankets. Oh, I forgot, I not only sniff, I gentel (now, what's the english word for gentel?). Anyway, I had many different bears throughout my life. I said different cos my mom used to throw them out once she finds out that I was sniffing it. And I'd be at a loss, cos I can't sleep and I get nausea. Doesn't that sound abit like withdrawal symptoms? So she's got no choice but to let me use another bear as a BB. But it takes time for a BB to smell right. It needs to be honed to nasal perfection. Any sign of it being in the sun and it'll smell different. And you know it's been in the sun. And you know who did it. My mom, to date, has given up trying to stop me from having a BB. She's actually warned me of repercussionsof having BB when I get married.

Anyway, to update, this BB does not wear his purple singlet anymore. No, I've not replaced it with another singlet. In fact, he's not even wearing anything now. I wanted to do something good and wash his singlet, and it got lost in the laundry. Don't ask me how, it just did, ok.

I've tried weaning myself off it, but I can't. Or so I tell myself.

Capri-sonne-d

Image hosted by Photobucket.comI've been drinking too much of these.
But I like drinking it.
It reminds me of my childhood.
There are not alot of pictures of me (when I was a kid), without one hand gripping a capri-sonne pack with the straw stuck up my mouth.
I remember drinking only "Apple" then.
But yesterday, not only did I find "Apple" and the mandatory "Orange", I found "Strawberry Cooler", "Berry Cooler" and an "Alaskan Ice Tea"!!
And no, I didn't find 'em at Cold Storage, nor Jason's nor Marketplace.
But at good 'ol Sheng Siong at only 60 cents each!!.
It was like 1 for 60 cents, 10 for $5.80!!
No, I didn't buy 10. I just bought 1 of each flavour.
And it still tastes as good as it was then.
hee hee
