Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word

He finally said sorry for being a rotten jerk then (after 8 years).
Has he finally grown up?
Good for him.
It's funny how I used to fall flat for the worst jerks around.

I'm happier now, thanks for asking.

Face the Music

I've got a music audition in like 2 weeks and I've gotta perform 2 contrasting pieces of my choice plus scales and sight-reading at Grade 6 level.
shit.
I've also gotta sit for a theory test at Grade 5 level.
shit.
I've still got my exam pieces on my shelves, but they're like more than a decade old.
shit.
I'm so rusty on the piano and I'm even worse at theory.
shit.
This kinda explains the C6 for my Os.
But I need this. Erm, maybe.
shit.
shit.
shit.

The Day of Firsts

Remember Kendall?
I've commisioned her to paint one of her Geishas for me.
So that's like 2 Firsts in one sentence - it's the first time I've ever commisioned anyone to do anything; it's also the first time I've ever bought myself a real painting. No, NKOTB posters do not count as art.
I lurve her Geisha series, and all I did was go up to her and ask if she's doing any Geishas during the event and she's like I'll do 1 for you if you want. And I teared. I'm such a wuss. I've been super emotional the whole week. Every li'l thing makes me tear. Also, she's selling it to me at like an 'event discount' (of course). I sure as heck can't afford it at retail price. One painting cost like $4000, can. I'm not gonna disclose how much I'm paying for it, but it's definitely less than half the price.
It'll be ready Sunday! yaye!
So stay tuned for pics *ahem*.
:o)

That's Kendall painting the skyline of Sydney on a huge canvas, while a cameraman from Channel 7 gets some footage. You saw right. Channel 7 was here today.
I totally lurve Kendall's work. It's really lively and colorful and she's such a lovely person!

Will definitely get more pics. I broke the LCD screen on my Canon (heart pain, man!) so I've just gotta make do with my T610.

Oh anyway, I had a missed call just now and I *had* to return the call. *rolls eyes*
I was kinda suspicious with the number cos it start with a '+' and a string of numbers followed. I thought it was a call from Malaysia or Australia or Indonesia or wherever. I thought it was a family emergency or whatever. I thought.. I thought (i saw a puddy tat). So I called back and guess where it was from...?! It was from CHINA! *screams head off*
There goes the phone bill.. nabey..

(insert fear here)-phobic Anonymous

Me: Hi, my name is Natasha and I'm a paedophobic.
All: Hi Natasha!

Believe it or not, I'm paedophobic. I don't fear children in general. I'm just afraid of babies. Especially babies whose parents I don't know. There isn't a specific term for fearing babies, so paedophobia is like the closest. Anyway, lemme explain.

  1. They're so fragile, they might just break.
  2. They stare at you like they know you from the past. It's like they know your deepest, darkest secrets. It's scary.
  3. I have no idea what to do or what facial expression I should make when a baby (especially whose parents I don't know) touches me or grabs my hair/specs/anything else. What, am I suppose to entertain it while it contributes to my thinning hair? Am I suppose to pry open its fingers and smile or give its parents that dirty look that equates to 'please entertain your own baby'?
  4. I've no idea how to carry one.
  5. Not all babies are cute and I, for one, have high standards for Baby Cuteness. I can't bring myself to pretend that a baby is cute when it's not.
  6. When they cry, they make me feel like I'm the worst baby carrier ever. That seriously reduces my self esteem.
  7. Saying a baby is cute does not mean that I like babies.
  8. Do parents really like it when strangers fuss over their baby?
  9. They have roaming, grabbing fingers.
  10. Their mouths are perpetually filled with saliva.
  11. Combine points 9 and 10. You get stuffs grabbed from you and straight into their gooey mouths.

I try to avoid babies, but sometimes, when I'm on a bus and there's a baby sitting either beside, behind, or in front of me, I get claustrophobic. God forbid, if there's one beside, behind and in front of me. Trauma..! That's because, the one behind can easily pull on my hair or ears or worse, earrings!; the one in front stares at you like they know you from somewhere; and the one next to me, saliva central!

Scary riiiiite.

Yes, yours truly will be there. ALL 11 days of it. Okay, maybe only 10. heh. Yup..I, *ahem* Tash, have been appointed by Azham (he's like the main distributor for Grinders Coffee here) to help (wo)man the Grinders Coffee booth (aka the sidewalk cafe mentioned above). But no, I won't be the barista. Some bloke named Tom Beaumont will be the main man. He's like the best coffee artist in Australia, can! Also, he's Grinders Coffee's coffee trainer.
