discovery of the month

been wanting to post about this for a quite awhile after the discovery but had no time.
be forewarned though, i'm gonna be bringing you way back when life was good so don't blame me for the influx of memories.
kay here goes:

i'm not sure when this exactly was (2000? 2001?), but remember there was a certain tv show with beautiful people in it that we just couldn't miss?
think it was some supermodel search.
think it's ford's search for a supermodel australia (?).
remember?
we had to get back in time just to catch the show. cannot miss.
yah the same show that was riddled with advertisements and is only half hour.
anyway, remember the pair of twins from brisbane?
with one of them working at coles? i think it's the coles at mt gravatt cos that's where the local asians usually stayed at. besides they went to griffith,. so mt gravatt is a choice suburb to stay at.
and there was a clip of one of the twins at work, with the cap, all shy and down-to-earth?
and they were really good-looking cos they were eurasians?
and then we discovered that they were m'sians?
and we rooted for them from the beginning just cos they were goodlooking and from brisbane?
they didn't win but that's besides the point.

anyway, now that you've vaguely remembered, those exact two are may & choy!
the exact same two hosting double trouble on mtv!
no wonder they looked oh so familiar!

okay okay, on to better news:
Seinfeld is coming back in March!
oooh yeah!

are you for real?

kay my mom just got me into a panic.
did anybody watch the news?
about the contact lens solution, ReNu?
that everyone using it is advised to stop using it?

and i've still got like 2 more bottles of it.
when i stock up, these kinda things happen.
when i don't stock up, i've to keep running to the shops to get it.
what only.
do i get a refund?

my eyes! my eyes!
i'm already blind without corrective lenses and now they're telling me the contact lens solution that i've been using all these while causes cornea infection?
kay better change.
i don't wanna spend money on some cornea operation.
*yeowch!*.

alamak my eyes getting itchy.

procastinator alert

have been listening to my dog man star cd on loop since i came back from school, when i should be working my aural and harmony stuff.

tsk tsk.

and i've still not memorised my Handel piece for this coming monday's performance.

tsk tsk.

but, i had time to go fishing.
oooh yeah.
and the score as at 0300hrs this morning is me, 5 and him, 1!
must be that magic luminous orange rod that he bought me. he kept insisted that it was pink over the phone and i got really excited cos it's quite rare to find a pink rod, when lo and behold, it's actually orange. what only.
anyway, he apparently got it at some old school tackle shop at beach road. so old school, that he actually had to blow dust off all of the items in the shop.
anyway, i caught 5 fishes with it! albeit small ones, but they'll do, cos i was already zoning out just slightly after 2300hrs. but i did catch some kinda of ikan todak. think it's actually called half-beak fish , with it's 'beak' more than my 30cm ruler.
ooh yeah.

urgh. i am so sleepy.

ambigram alert

this morning i saw the word 'MONS' on the floor somewhere and for the life of me, wasn't able to couldn't figure out what the word meant. and the word got stuck in my head and i kept pronouncing 'MONS' over and over in my head. then i started recalling all the words that start with a 'MONS' like 'MONS'ter, 'MONS'trosity, 'MONS'ieur, etc. so i was very disturbed the whole day, until i went back to the floor that had that 'MONS' word on it.

and i realised that it said 'SNOW'.

i am an idiot.

and i am not in new york.

enak sekali

was rewarded with nasi ayam penyet, avocado juice (*slurp*) and more importantly, teh botol (!) after last night's performance.

okay, okay so it wasn't really a reward heh. there was makan2 cos it's the inaugaration of the ensemble, and the gamelan ensemble is now official!

the atmostphere felt very indon, even the mat sallehs were speaking in bullet-speed bahasa. and all the time i was hoping they'd cut it and just speak normal english so i can understand them better. they didn't just speak it with a mat salleh accent, but it was real pekat bahasa.

but it was good. was damn nervous before our piece (cos i never put in enough time to practice) but i think it was okay. didn't mess it up too much. phew.

will definitely post when we'll be performing next.

woke up early sunday morning just to catch these cutie pies!
cute, you!
them babies sound like they're calling 'maaaak!' when they 'embek'.
very cute.
it was definitely worth waking up early and going the off beaten track for.
i also got to drink freshly squeezed milk from their mummies. yes, i know it's meant for these cuties but i wanted to taste it ok.

no wait, we didn't go there to pak tor, we went there to fish.

but it sure as heck doesn't beat fishing in brisbane, and that's another story altogether.

the stitch has left the building

got my stitches out.
it took less than a minute.
*snip* *snip* *tug* *tug*
i could've done it myself. heh.
it's like unhemming your skirt.

there's a gaping hole where my tooth used to be and it's dark and scary, like some kinda cave.
maybe if i trapped enough colourful food there, eat something reflective and have pounding music, then i can charge cover charge to other foods trying to get in.

but i'm still hurting from the horrible ulcers.
urgh!
