screamfest @ screen singapore

Has anyone gone for any of the screenings featured in screen singapore?

Go, pick up a brochure or go here! Like, now!

The boy and I will most probably be going for the Pontianak Night: Sumpah Pontianak & Return to Pontianak screening this Saturday at the Alliance Francaise.

I've not watched the latter, but Sumpah Pontianak scared the shits outta me when I was a kid. Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Er, wait.
I'm not sure if it's the same movie that I watched when I was kid.
Kay, here's the version that I watched:
The pontianak kept clawing at the belly of a woman who was about to give birth. I believe she was trying to steal the baby.
My memory's a bit vague, but that's all I remember.
I think that's where my fear of giving birth stemmed from.
hahahaha. stupid dumb nut.
It could be another movie, but heck.

Anyway, the screening this Saturday will be graced by Maria Menado (she's the lead actress in that 1958 pontianak movie) who will "talk about her heyday playing the pontianak".

Of course there're other movies lah, like Labu dan Labi, Penarik Becha and other made-in-Singapore movies.
And oh, it's cheap!
ah $5 for students cheap, wat.
hahaha.

...er, like how many 'P' words did I use in this entry?

see lah, 5 kilos (only!) in one year! haha!
so pathetic.
but y'see..i don't really need to lose alot of weight lah i just need to get rid of all these jiggly wiggly bits.

tone up!
tone up!

help?

anybody disciplined enough to go gym with me and not gallivant some place else?

busy bee(troot)

Been busy.
Have been trying to clock 4 hours of practice daily.
(I've also been drinking too much beetroot juice, but that's besides the point)
But being the lazy ass that I am, I've only been doing approximately 2.5 hours, monday to friday.
I slack on weekends. haha!
tsk tsk.

Wait, lemme justify myself.
It's not that i don't practice on purpose, i just don't have the time.
tsk.
I have so many assignments due every week, it's insane!
I have more assignments now then I ever did in uni. At least at uni, they thoughtfully space out deadlines so we don't end up doing too many assignments at the same time.
Like harlooooowe I only have 24 hours in a day, 12 of which I need for my beauty sleep. duh!

Oh, I found out that I actually stop breathing once I start playing my pieces.
Yaaah, I know. It's really weird, but it kinda explains my headaches. It's just the brain not getting enough oxygen.
Too funny.

Gotta start preparing for my technical exams, end of this semester. I'm gonna be doing 2 contrasting pieces from Czerny Op. 299 (from memory!) and of course, the mandatory scales, arpeggios.

Have also gotta start choosing pieces for my performance exam next sem.
Argh!!
