ga ga with pin pin

managed to catch singapore gaga over at the arts house.
it was good, to me.
it's one of those films where you actually get to really personify an image or sound.
my favourite character has got to be 'ying'.
he's the one you probably have seen tap-dancing in his wooden clogs, juggling two tennis balls in one hand and making music with his harmonica in the other, at various mrt stations around the island.
one heck of a character - he made me smile, then laugh and eventually cried.

i used to bawl my eyes out (when i was younger) when i see the old or the handicapped trying to get extra monetary funds.
i just hate to see people suffer.
my cousins would tell me i shouldn't feel sorry for them, cos they probably have more money than me and maybe even has a merc parked somewhere (?!).
true, they might have more money, but they're suffering.
so it kinda made sense then that it's not about the money.
it's about being happy.

now i still feel like crying when i see such things. so i tend to give spare change and just walk away quickly before i start sobbing.
i am such a wuss.
