it ain't right

I reached school with tears in my eyes yesterday morning.
I wanted to stop and just bawl my eyes out.
You would to, if you saw what i saw.

i saw a dog (a jack russell terrier) in the middle of the aye and it was trying to cross the expressway!
my heart stopped and i froze.
my first instinct was to stop the car.
if traffic wasn't heavy i would have, and get out and grab him and hug him and tell him that everything's ok.
but it's the morning traffic, bumper to bumper at maximum speed.
the poor thing.
i have no idea how it ended up at the road divider.
i hope it's because he ran away and somehow managed to cross half of the expressway and not because some selfish prick decided to do away with him and just dump him there.

then i started crying.
because i was helpless and didn't do anything to help him.
and i started imagining bad things that could happen to him.

sigh.

i hope he's okay.
